Are you looking for a Suite during the flower festival in Monte Isola?
Every 5 years on the biggest lake island in Europe, in Iseo lake, is celebrated the feast of holy cross, also known as the festival of flowers.
The village of Carzano in Monte Isola is literally decorated for a week with two hundred thousand handmade paper flowers by local ladies.
The festival originated at the end of the nineteenth century when cholera hit the area of the lake Iseo.
The inhabitants of these villages, to be spared from illness, asked for the grace and made a vow to the Most Holy Cross: they promised to honor it with a lavish five-year festival.
Visit Monte Isola during the flower festival and stay in our fully furnished and equipped suites: two steps from the lake and from Iseo’s harbor, from where ferries leave for the island.
